The purpose of the visit was to discuss the possibilities of business cooperation.  The guests from China met with the Eduard Sosnin, Mayor of Perm, and then visited the exchange of business contacts. 20  companies and individual entrepreneurs from Perm participated in the exchange negotiations with Changzhou businesses.

Perm has been one of the Russian cities to first identify prospects of inter-municipal cooperation  with the counterparts in the east. China holds a leading position in the world economy, has a rich history and culture. Therefore, the city authorities are  keen to establish active links with various cities in China.

The Chinese delegation included the President of the Changzhou International Trade Promotion Committee, Mr Ji Bin, Head of the International Relations Division of the Changzhou International Trade Promotion Committee, Ms Yao Yizhi, and business representatives.

On April 5, the delegation met with Eduard Sosnin, Mayor of Perm. President of the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vyacheslav Belov also attended the meeting. Participants discussed opportunities for business cooperation between the two cities.

– I believe that Changzhou and Perm have a lot in common - they are economic and cultural leaders of their regions with developed industry and social sphere. We have many common issues to discuss  and prospects for business and cultural interaction to develop. Cooperation in the industrial and economic spheres is of a high importance. Perm is famous for its enterprises in the field of mechanical engineering, petrochemistry, and is known for its own food production. The Permian business has something to offer to Chinese colleagues. I am convinced that this return visit will be an important step in expanding business and friendly ties between our cities, - Eduard Sosnin addressed the participants of the meeting.

The members of the delegation, in turn, presented their companies, including «Changzhou Architectural Research Institute Group», «Jiangsu Ibai Cross-border and Commerce Service» import company,   «Changzhou Zhuyshun New Materials» (industrial fiberglass fabrics), «Büchler (Changzhou) machinery» (equipment for processing agricultural raw materials and food and fodder production).

– Perm, like Changzhou, is historically an industrial city holding an important role for the   country. We have many areas in which we can cooperate, - said the president of the Changzhou International Trade Promotion Committee Mr Ji Bin.

After the meeting in the city administration, representatives of the People’s Republic of China visited the Perm Local History Museum  and the Business Contacts Exchange. 20 Perm companies and individual entrepreneurs participated in the exchange negotiations with Changzhou companies - LLC «NPF «Permhimproduct», LLC PCF «Permtech», LLC «Uralstroproprojekt», LLC «Perm Electrical Equipment Plant «Kama» and others.

–  Perm enterprises consistently supply the Chinese market with petrochemical products, mechanical equipment, wood processing products, food products. We appreciate  the  partnership of trust that  Perm has built with Changzhou. We hope to further strengthen  mutually beneficial cooperation, expand new opportunities in the trade and economic sphere, - said Iana Furman, Deputy Head of the Perm City Administration.
